APA-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) The demarcation of the Ethiopia-Sudan border will not displace anybody on either side, Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zewani told parliament on Wednesday.
He said Sudan and Ethiopia have agreed that the border demarcation, to start in the near future, will not displace any individuals from the land they occupy.
“We, Ethiopia and Sudan, have signed an agreement not to displace any single individual from both sides to whom the demarcation benefits,” he said.
The border between Ethiopia and Sudan dates back to 1907 when Sudan was under British colonial rule.
The two countries have so far been unable to physically identify their borders.
Recent reports said that Ethiopian farmers were displaced by Sudanese troops at two border areas but Meles told the parliament that this was land that was occupied by Ethiopia in 1996, which was given to two investors by the Ethiopian government, and Sudan complained about it.
“We have given back this land, which was occupied in 1996. This land before 1996 belonged to Sudanese farmers. There is no single individual displaced at the border as it is being reported by some media,” Meles said.

What is the law of our country. The so-called Constitution dicates that Meles, as chief of the Executive Body must get the prior approval of his Parliament before signing International Agreements regarding Ethiopian Territories. We know that Fasil Nahoum his in-house legal counsel advised him not to go to Parliament. Fasil is an Eritrean and so Meles is. Both are not Ethiopians. So they will not tamper to work for Ethiopian Interest. They did it under the table. They after they signed it are now coming to Parliament for ratification. The rubber-stamp parliament will undoubtedly ratify their agreement which in turn would give them that the agreement has been acceptable by the Ethiopia and the Ethiopian People and that is the game worked out by the Constitutional Lawyer-Dr Fasil Nahoum- the arch-enemy of Ethiopia. [By the way he was also a personal legal adviser of Mengistu Hailemariam. Fasil was a teacher of Fesseha Desta, a one time law school student and thereafter was the vice president of Ethiopia. Fessiha brought him to the inner circle of the Derg and Fasil was spying on Mengistu].
I feel that we Tigreans are first betrayed by Fessiha Desta and now by both Meles and Fasil in which both are Eritreans. ERITREANS WANT TO WEAK AND DISMANTLE ETHIOPIA . THAT IS THE WHOLE MOTTO. AND THE PRESENT GENERATION IS PAYING THE PRICE.

It is good Ato Meles as he should have done in the first place, explained everything in detail to the parlaiment and the Ethiopian people. I also applaud Ato temesguen and his group for boldly demanding an explanation about the land transfer and raising the issue within Ethiopia.
Ato Temesguen wrote a letter as was reported on the reporter. However the speaker of the parlaiment allowed an EPRDF member to ask question to Ato Meles, as if they EPRDF members were also concerened about the border issue. Ato Temesguen protested this and indicated that when everyone was silent it was their group who protestes and raised this issue to the public debate from within Ethiopia. (outside Ethiopia as is obvious Ethiopians, civic groups and political parties, individuals have been vigurously protesting and condemning this treasn).

I feel pity when the land was given to our enemy who benefits from our Abbay river. Sudan is taking water from us and now is also taking our land. I was pitying because we do not have gallant citizens that fight for our water rights.
Now also came the story of the land. Meles and Gang gave away the land kept by the blood and bones of our ancestors of Tewodros and Yohannes.
LOOK IN WHAT HISTORICAL EPOCH ARE WE NOW. Listen the justification levied by the Dictator. Read it again. He brought about a story of 1996. Who gave land to who at that time. The Ethiopian Government take a land from the Sudan and gave it….. Look at the fabrication to fool the Ethiopian Mass. Did Ethiopia took 1645 Km of land from the Sudan. Look at the size. It is as big as Tigrai itself. WHAT A STORY. A story that tell us the land that he gave now[ Quara et al. which is the birth place of Emperor Tewodros] was a land taken by Ethiopia in 1996.
Next he will tell us that Tewodros was also a Sudanese.

I just found out that the “Ethiopia First” editor Ben (Binyam) was born and raised in Adwa and he has several relatives that works in the TPLF government. He has been deceiving and misleading us by fraudulently posing as if he was a neutral reporter.
People please look at his reporting’s and observe how much he tried to cover up for TPLF group.

Look the so-called “ethiopiafirst.com” , the one who grew up in Addis but has recent ancestors in Tigray, first he was saying that it is totally false, and now he is saying “yetefenakele gebere yelem”. One thing, is Meles and he telling us that if it is not a farm they are always willing to give a land??
In fact, Meles admits partially only because the Sudanse Ambassador admits that they have got land. Thanks for the efforts made by VOA, DW, and addis dimits! If these efforts were not made he will not believe even this lie based a small (1%) fact!

Yes, as mentioned above, one day TPLF will say that the land (quara) belongs to Sudan and Tewedros is also sudanse, and not an ethiopian.
