8 June ‘08 - Berhanu Nega, the leader of Ginbot 7 Movement for Democracy and Justice in Ethiopia, has arrived in London on Saturday where he was warmly received by several supporters. Dr. Berhanu will speak at a public meeting today afternoon in London from 14:00 at Priory Community Centre with Dr. Admasu Gebeyehu and heads to several other European cities to meet with Ethiopians, as well as officials of European governments.

I’m eagerly waiting the time that you come to my country of residence.
When the old EPRP’s talk the talk Dr Birhanu is Working the work. EPRP old dogs failed to organize a single public meeting in any country. But the Big mouths of EPRPs are still shouting against the great men like Dr Birhanu and Ato Andargachew.
What surprised me in recent days is that when the usual old Dog EPRPs said the Ethio-Sudan border committee must be stop working. EPRPs said we are the only to deal such issues.

I am a 25 year old young man. I have no idea about the past Dergue and Imperial regimes. But I do very well know about EPRDF. I feel I am cursed to have my young life in such worst of the worst time. Even if I may not achieved the required maturity for politics, I simply wonder how on earth a government supposed to lead 80 million strong nation would behave irresponsibly and in barbarity. I am sure everyone agrees how Ethiopia is desperate to have a government of its own.
Beyound any doubt this regime of TPLF is the culprit for all evils that rock our nation to all times bottom. Nevertheless, TPLF is the prime reason for most of the evils to point fingers at, we simply failed to learn from our mistakes once again by finding scapegoats to appease our weakness. My point is, we have a barbaric government bent on destroying this nation, yet we misdirect our focus to eliminate those we may afraid for being future political rival without significant strategic differences. This kind of mindset simply multiply our enemies, disassociate our friends, strain relationship within and the worst of all emboldens the sworn enemy TPLF. The strategy is just putting the cart before the horse.
It is totally abusurd to me when almost 99% of respondents on this site fully engaged in bashing EPRP (the unweavering straight forward childrens of Ethiopia I witnessed so far). Such unwarantted misrepresentation and rationalization simply spells this site is a cult village that thrives on heresay and gossip which is irrelevant to a people asserting national salvation.
Even if I do not belong to any political institution, I know for sure what is right and wrong. I know who is consistent and who is flip-flop. The more I read hateful remarks against those who gave their all to their nation, the more I feel disgusted and suspected the hate mongers as TPLF agents that are embedded to enlarge the rift among patriotic Ethiopians.
In fact I heard non of your names doing commendable job to your nation. It is simply ludicrous to think that you have the moral authority to denigrate EPRP. I have elder uncles and relatives who often talk about the indefatigable and gallant generation of EPRP, who kept their promise unwavering and steadfast to say the least. Should I believe namelesess on cyberspace or those who had firsthand experience on the ground?
I simply can imagine there is no sight for and end to this nation’s misery. Remember you contributed to the distraction of your own nation. I can say one thing confidently, history will judge you.
As of know, I am convinced, that Ethiopia is in a blind alley. We are aware the respondents are a group of people who either blindly following or are themselves the bunch of individuals who are bent to destruct the road to liberation. The Ethiopian people is looking forward to put individuals to the test of people’s court for the unforgivable crime of sell out to its enemies. The Ethiopian people are paying dearly for what Berhanu Nega and his collaborators has done to stop the near victory struggle against the repressive regime.

For quite sometimes I was so skeptical of Brihanu Nega about his political stand. Very resently I compromised and start to lean towards his new idea. However, I again heard him blaming and cursing an individual(Hailu Shawl) at a big public gathering. He rather put himself in the bottm row of street politicians. I was not expecting this gathering organized for the purpose of talking about a person who chose a different way of strugle. Such a manner is totally un expected from a senior politician. What a contradition, I am afraid this impression may last some time forever among his suporters.

Having said that, Every Ethiopian is equal citizen of Ethiopia where he/she is baby, young or old. That is why we are called a nation of >80 millions people.
If one person or party considers himself better than others and more irresponsible than others, he must visit some psychologist. That what EPRP need to do right now before polluting the other people of Ethiopia.
EPRP alone cannot solve the political problems of Ethiopia. That is why EPRP never moved an inch in its 40+ years of struggle. Ethiopian political problem can only solved if all the parties come together and agreed on basic principles of their way of struggle.
If one party says My way is the only high way, then that is the weakest point and the weakest link of that party.

I do not understand why there hasn’t been a task force of some sort until today that works to document the crimes of the EPRP, and expose its members in hiding in different parts of the world and bring them to justice. May be everybody decided to go what happened in the past for the sake of reconciliation and work towards the future. But do these people seem to be working for a better future? I don’t think so. Yesterday, they were cowardly shooting down civilians and government officials alike for following a different line of politics than they did. Today, they are attempting to undertake those killings just in a different way. I am sure if they could, they would do it the way they did in the past.
Once people train themselves to be killers, it takes a long time and a huge effort to get out of the habit. Someone needs to expose these individuals wherever they are.

I’ve read your offensive remarks and generalizations about me (the person you never know). That is why I commented the participants looks much like cult followers than independent and fair minded opinion makers. Any one who come accross your reasoning can easily deduce how you are blindfolded by contempt and prejudices to look out of the box. I am not offended by the cheap shot you throw at me nor the mindset you already made any one who happen to be disagreeble is an EPRP surrogate. I do only worried about my generation who might be distorted to find the truth. Remember, the truth may get blured, but will never be darker. I wish I could sit with you face to face and talk the inside out. Then I could see the truth prevail.
One final point - what is your child going to learn from you if you have one? False accusation, bashing, heresay, bitterness, slander - I hope not. That is not in the best interest of our nation and the people live in. A house built of hatemongering, malice and bogus assertions is like the house of cards. And a grain of truth is better than a mountain of bluff. To be worthy, one needs to have a grain of truth, otherwise it turns out to be rubbish. I hope you will not!

One more point for Kesatebirhan:
Imagine how your argument simply failed to make sense when you generalize a 24 years old (in fact I am 25 if you have read it carefully) young man knows nothing about the past and present history. Look a 24 years old man can complete a graduate schools study. And for instance if he is a student of history, politics, philosophy, etc, he could be an authoritative, not just about a party that still operates in full force but also a history and philosophy as far as the primitive society, stone ages, early civilizations, etc. He could be knowledgeable of Moral Philosophy from Plato, Darwins theory of evolution, Socrates’s virtue vs knowledge, Newtonian gravitational theory, Carl Marx capital, naturalism, rationalism, utilitarianism, kantian ethics and many more of the past. You should have been known that 40 years of histroy could be learnt by a junior high school student let alone a 25 year old gentleman. Your haste to silence my point of view is a reflection of your attempt of miscarriage of justice.
I am a strong believer of to do what is morally right not just because ones desires but from a sense of duty. Hence, the basic difference between you and me is “acting from desire versus acting from sense of duty”. The million dollar question here is How We Can We Reconcile this Differences as a People of One Nation?

Well we all Ethiopians must accept what happen in the past and move on to make the future more promsing for the coming generation but some that healing process is not going further some how we must begun to embrace each other to form a better Ethiopia by any means…. Dr. Brhanu well i truly admire your strength to do what ever it takes there is no time for any action to be taken well every one has a mouth to say what ever they feel and think but at this movemenet Ethiopian people has no choice for any thing well What is better than WOYANE? The answer would be any thing so we must stick togather to over come that regime killing ethiopia in many ways …… We all ethiopians wants better ethiopia that will have a promsing future then we are the people to do that let us creat that ethiopia by uniting and working togather for better ethiopia period…..

you still failed to convince me that you are 25 yrs old young man . but it is petty you waste your energy and time to explain that you are 25 not 24 . i would leave to any observer to tell me what is the difference being 25 or 24 considering that we are talking about, EPRP being 40 years old dead party .any way if you believe that EPRP is operating in full force, then why is that the Ethiopian people could not see a shred of change delivered to them by this EPRP.remember 40 donkey yrs is too long !!and i want you to understand that my intention is not bash you or get you down , but to express my self in the reality i believe in 21st century .i would not even accept a dad who comes to claim me as his son 40 yrs later . i dont care even he try to convince me that he was doing some HAMA TUMA from a distance about me .case rest!!! let us accept that EPRP is dead and no Ethiopian with a right mind would expect a practical change from EPRP to his or her life . thx

I am not defending EPRP, I believe they are as sharp as the razor blade to shave their critics down. But I do not agree with your assertion of EPRP is non existent. It is simply white lie and ignorance at best to deny the existence of the peoples party. You are to much stretched to call yourself as a little GOD who grant or deny one’s existence. You like it or not, EPRP is history, and no one is able to erase history. Well, for you EPRP may be irrelevant, and I won’t challenge you about that belief. Because it is your own choice to embrace or not. And I resspect your choice.
The problem with you is the way you cross the border and say Hey Fellas in EPRP, you are all dead, because my word is the words of God! Remember, one can’t jump to the moon, because it is physically impossible. And you are one of those silly poor guys who simply live by illusion than substance.
I have no business with you, but I tried to help if you could learn, since you happens to be my compatriot. I know so many people from different walks of life and nations in Diaspora who tirelessly work and lobby for the interest of their respective nations. But we Ethiopians are cursed. We enjoy fighting each other than helping. The belief of my goods are drawn from the evils of my compatriot derails our nation from progress and stability. Especially, the Ethiopian Diaspora, most of them who emigrate to the West because of some connections with former authorities or bribed their way. Beacuse of this underlying reason of inherent moral corruption, we can’t reach consensus even for trivial cases. Imagine all you laboured on this page is to denigerate your own compatriots without justifications. I never know who the hell you are. But you pulled me in such nasty imbroglio. I pray for God to give you good health and a mind that tolerates differences.
