01 july 2008 - The soccer game between journalists and artists which was scheduled for Thursday at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC was cancelled, the coordinator of the game Dawit Kebede said. The main reason according to the coordinator is the incarceration of artist Teddy Afro who is supposed to play by the artists’ side. “We don’t feel good playing game as our friend is unjustly imprisoned.” An artist told EMF. Journalists are also bitter this year as they didn’t still get a press pass for a reason they do not know yet. “It looks a vendetta for our critical reporting against ESFNA on the money case.” One of a journalist said. The yearly traditional game between journalists and artist at ESFNA had attracted thousands and was a fun among Ethiopians. High numbers of people were expected in DC to watch the soccer tournament but on Monday the number was extremely small. (Picture by EMF. Many people were wearing a T-Shirt read Free Teddy Afro.)

Well! Well! Well!
“I am not young enough to know everything” but this one has a tell tale sign of the pot is already being stirred.
Look out world! Here comes the fury of Abeshas.
If I were you, ESFNA, I will just swallow my pride and say sorry. Right now not the time play with word. Just my 2 cents.

Of course every country needs politically definable and logical political opposition party, regardless whether the ruling party is good or not, but in the mean time what we do not need in ethiopia is a political opposition party based of tribal definable, i.e, Kinjit was known as tribally definable (Amara dominated party), in such state politics not only losses its logic and theory but it become degrading factor.

Nothing shameful and immoral as using under age and child for political purpose.

Speaking of the singer Tedy Afro case,-
Freedom for drunkard and alchol behaviour is not in the hand of the government, but an individual choice of life style. In such case the solution nor the freedom for addicted individuals could be found only in the hand of “alcholic treatment and addiction reformation and psychological evaluation”.

knows them all says:
I have been associated with ESFNA since 1992
1. ESFNA’s past business practices have been, Denial.
2. Greed than Generosity.
3. ESFNA had more than five presidents in 25 years. All transitions were peaceful and no schisms because it is within friends. The major qualification is the trust you garner from fellow Board members in your tenure as one of them(deniable greedy, bring new business idea, we even can sale kidney, do not trust anyone outside the ESFNA ..
4. ESFNA will sell anything even Ethiopians kidneys, has been and will we engage in dubious business practices. Income: Stadium Entrance Fee, Vendors Fee and Closing Night Concert are the one IRS partially knows.
5. Drug substance uses in hotel and stadium is a big profit too.

It is becoming so reduclous now confusing politics and criminal behavior. There are more worthy causes to stand up and fight for than defending a criminal behavior. I do have respect for Teddy as a person but I am not going to say that criminal behavior will be left unpunshed specially when it results in the loss of human life.

When you drink excessivelly irresponsible and then drive and kill innocent child by stander then you are not only a criminal by common the law but a murderer killer who deserve the maximum extent of the punishment according the law of the land.
If you do not understand the above comment, then imagine that victime who got struck and murdered by drunk driver/Teddy happen to be your child or your brother then you know how it feels.

Selam
What a fiasco! Anybody with the sense in a head of cabbage should have guessed that Woyane is on a mission of revenge. Putting him behind bars created more compassion for him and Teddy becomes a hero as a result

Yes , We can. We are young and willing to fight the Weyanee Regime. Anyway, We are organizing rally in front of Ethiopian Embassy this month August 29,2008 at 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM . Everybody who loves his or her country is invited. Teddy is in jail because of US Ethiopians. Set aside your personal difference and join DC youth for action. Hope to see you there!
Shame on some of you up in here commenting like you would point a gun and kill my people. Your days are numberd, God Willing!
