Ginbot 7 meeting is held with a packed audience at Washington DC Marriott Hotel on Saturday. The meeting started with an introductory message from Mesfin Aman. The speakers, Ato Andargachew Tsege, Dr. Gidey Assefa, Ato Ephrem Madebo and Ato Muluneh Eyoel have presented moving speeches on the ever worsening overall crisis of Ethiopia and the need to form the movement. People were very emotional when Muluneh Eyoel was presenting his speech. Dr. Berhanu is a moderator today. Here is Muluneh’s speech in PDF. Constructive discussions were also held with the audience. We have to be respectful and tolerant to the choice of any individual or group as long as it is plus to our struggle against TPLF, the tyrant . The problem is when we try to justify our choice and strategy by undermining/blackmailing individuals/groups such as the UDJP leaders who are trying to do what they can do under the regime which terrorizes its own people. Let our efforts focus on shared and big objectives/issues and let us play our role constructively and objectively!!! Let our efforts re-enforce each other instead of repulsing.

Ginbot 7 leadership are mouth gymnasts. They are good motivation speakers and writers. They can’t organize and rally Ethiopians to face TPLF. the reason is that they lack character and charisma. If some of the leadership go to the mountains of Gojjam, Gondar, Shawa and Wollo they will get the support they need to topple TPLF. But it looks like, non of them are they gonna try it. they know the sweetness of life and luxary. so they will continue meeting and writing articles and years will go like that.

I totally disagree with your illogical approach, the reason Ethiopia is poor and politically ill today is because ethiopians governments for the last entire centure ignored the demands of Ethiopians, particularly the oromos demand.

However, why can’t we reshape our future in equality and unity, instead of talking about the same old tales which don’t direct us to prosperity and development. I am saying at this point Ethiopian people are one or need to move in that direction. If you keep attacking the Amharas, where are you gonna end up with. I can be from any ethnic group, but if you think Amhara people are privileges at this point, please go to where they live and tell me what you will be witnessing. What i know for sure is the only chance TPLF will stay in power is if they divide us in ethnic groups.
