Nairobi, 6 May 2008 (EMF) Amnesty International’s former Prisoner of conscience, Alemayehu Mesele left his family and his country to a neighboring country and then to Europe on Monday, after he was severely beaten up by Zenawi’s undercover agents. (Pictures: Alemayehu, left - after he was beaten)
The youngest CUDP CC member, Alemayehu was thrown into jail since November 1, 2005, on trumped up charges of treason and genocide, which was widely denounced by human rights groups. He was freed (pardoned) from prison just days after he was given life sentence over election protests.
After he was freed, Alemayehu was routinely harassed for his active role in organizing the youth.
During a welcoming lunch ceremony to congratulate the released Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD) party leaders, the organizers awarded Alemayehu a golden chain. Since then, he was under surveillances by security agents.
Alemayehu started his political career since the age of 15, right after the death of AAPO leader - Prof. Asrat Woldeyes, which upsets many youths and compelled them to come to politics. He was active in organizing the youth in Addis Ababa. He then joined Rainbow/CUD and become member of the central committee.

Dear -EMF editors
Let me start by expressing that I have a great respect for your hard work to bring crucial information’s while exposing the TPLF tyranny. However, having read this article and looking at the picture of this young fellow Ethiopian beaten as if he is not a human being, I am outraged and frustrated.
My Question & Challenge to EMF Editors would be:
Is it beyond your capacity to unite all reliable media sources such as EMF, ER, Abugida Info, Abbay Media and others and challenge all the opposition groups to the current regime to come together for seek of our country and our people at home so that they can put aside their differences aside and focus on the common enemy i.e. EPLF dynasty?
If all the opposition groups continue to function at the current motto “My way or the highway” we Ethiopians are left with a single option i.e. to keep reading the daily sad stories and do nothing.
I am a firm beliver that Woyane is not a strong enemy! It is the egotistical and selfish mentality of some opposition leaders who prolonged the lifecycle of Woyane thugs in power.

Never count on “ethiopian opposition group”. We need to find a solution ourselves, each of us should come up with an idea that we think best works to topple zenawi’s tyranny.
I for one believe that assasinating zenawi and then terrorizing the lower level woyane goons by physically attacking their family members and implementing a well designed social descrimination against the woyannes can be fruitful.
But to coordinate such actions trustworthy leaders are imperative, we need such leaders to coordinate the meagre indivisualistic efforts to a wave of public force to outset zenawi and his tigray relatives out of our country.
One way to pursue the above mensioned startegy is to align the diaspora movement with the ARMED FORCES that are functioning in the peripheries of ethiopia. But again to do this we need to get information as to the aim of these groups and we need to identify and work with only those that can serve the GOOD OF ETHIOPIA AND ITS PEOPLE!!
To hit on my points once again, to weaken woyane and later topple it:
1. assassinate zenawi, through contracted assassinators.
2. exercise effective discrimination and physical attack on family members of woyane thugs!!

If u are an ethiopian(NON-WOYANE ETHIOPIAN TO BE MORE SPECIFIC), then I guess u misinterpreted my point. My point is that because killer zenawi worked day and night to destroy THE GENUINE OPPOSITION, we dont have any more opposition political parties operating in ethiopia right now that can free ethiopia and bring about democracy for its destitute population, plus zenawi has declared repeatedly that he will never attempt the kind of mistake that he committed in 2005 by opening up a narrow space for the genuine opposition and he almost lost his seat at 4kilo.
One more thing, if i were an eritrean, u know i wouldnt dare to propose such an idea, U KNOW THAT I KNOW THAT U KNOW ZENAWI IS AN ERITREAN!! An eritrean can never advocate killing of their freedom fighter.
Coming to my point, To the extent that ethiopians have give up with the socalled peaceful struggle, there needs to be a way in which we perpetuate the struggle to topple the tigray dominated woyane tyranny. We all need to propose alternate solutions to get rid off our common enemy!
My solution is to perpetrate an organized ASSASINATION AGAINST ZENAWI!! If he is gone either woyane will crumble totally or his substitute can bring about change!!!!1
