May 9th, 2008– Addis Ababa Mayor-Elect Dr Berhanu Nega and colleagues are preparing to make a major announcement next Wednesday in Washington DC, about their future political move. They have scheduled a press conference at the Ethiopian Television Network’s studio on May 14 at 4:00 PM (EST). All Ethiopian and other media are invited to the press conference.
According to sources close to Dr Berhanu, the group will announce the formation of a new political movement that will aim to bring about an end to the Woyanne bloody regime in collaboration with other Ethiopian organizations, including those that are waging armed struggle.
The press conference will be aired live via Ethiopian Review Radio Network, Ethiopian Current Affair Discussion Forum, and other media.
VOA, DW, EriTV, Addis Dimts and other radio programs are also expected to air the press conference to their audience in Ethiopia.

This is exactly what i was wishing for some time now, ARMED STRUGGLE!!
DR Birhanu and colleagues, pls put a lot of thought into how to organize the struggle in the most successful way possible. You need to address numerous uncertainities before the engagement. you also need to develope and employee systematic risk assessment plan.
Its my hope that Ethiopians from all walks of life will give everything for this movement anyway, but we, the constituencies need to be consulted if the movement is to gain a momentem. I am eager to hear ur plan guys.

Now is the time, where all Ethiopian progressive forces should unite to defeat the common enemy the Agaazi Tribal Council. The good doctor has to think outside the box and must have alliances with the progressive forces in the region.
The old medivial way of thinking should give way to the new way of thinking. A unified, democratic and progressive Ethiopia should be the prize. This could herald a new era in Ethiopia. May be this time Ethiopia could play a constructive role in the region.
A word of caution, if the old tantrums regarding Eritrea,Somalia, the Ogaden, the Sudan and the Red Sea are on the offering, then by no means please stop it. We have enough opportunists playing with our emotions for so long. They are after their own personal political and financialm gains.
It didn’t down on most Ethiopians yet, but talking to the Eritrean leadership should be the first order of buissness. The bold step will send the Dedebit Mafia into a tail spin and into the nut house at Amanuel hospital. The meeting of Issias with the Ethiopian progressive forces would signal the defeat of the Woyanne political agenda and will hasten heir demise. He created them and eventually he will destroy them, but there has to be a cedible force to fill the power vaccum. This is the Woyannes worst nightmare.
I know Melles,Abbay and Seeye in the field as a bunch of cowards and I sure that they are wetting their pants as we speak.

I want everyone to remeber the old Ethiopian saying ” gulcha bilewet wet ayetafitm” .change in the name of an organisation is not change in the attitude .It is the change of attitude by the people who are in the organisation that makes it different. An organisation run by berhanu always remain an organisation run by a megalomania. a person who tries to compare himself to Mandela while reneging on the people. In politics when people tend to see themselves as the only one, as a messiah we have to be suspicious, these are signs something is wrong.
