At the time, I was invited by the Oakland Kinijit chapter to talk about the human rights abuses in Ethiopia. That was also the premiere showing of the documentary film, produced by the Anuak Justice Council, the “Betrayal of Democracy.” It was also the time when the opposition leaders were in prison.
